Timeless Kustoms in California has build some impressive custom muscle cars and this all black 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is no exception!
Transformation to modern trackday star
The model is a favorite among custom builders due to it’s nearly perfect lines and proportions. In 2013, Timeless Kustoms was asked by Major League Baseball pitcher Brad Penny to customize a 1969 Camaro – they have now transformed it once again.
The original car has been completely transformed and Timeless Kustoms has improved it’s performance far beyond anything General Motors could dream of in 1969. Thanks to a long list of features, the Camaro now has the potential to be a modern trackday star.
Under the hood with a custom-made air intake is a small-block twin-turbocharged 380ci Chevy LSX V8 which makes a whopping 750 hp! The powerful engine is paired with a Tremec 6-speed wide-ratio automatic transmission. To keep the driver safe, a ten-point roll cage has been fastened together with custom seats.
Improving the aerodynamics
The 1969 Camaro is styled with OEM Corvette Z06 wheels with 325 tires up front and 345 in the rear. The high-performance tires help keep the car on the track, and a custom fabricated underbody diffuser highly improves the aerodynamics of the original bodywork. To further improve the aerodynamics and the overall aesthetic of the Camaro, the drip rails were shaved off, the bumper tucked in and a C6 Corvette front and rear suspension installed. Finally, a custom-built rear wing has been added to also increase stability at high speeds.
Welcome to the dark side
The interior includes a Marquez design dash, Sparco steering wheel, suede upholstery and analog auto meter gauges that keep track of nearly every functions of the Camaro.
The whole thing is polished off with an all-black “sparkling graphite” finish which is as close to the blackest-black there is.
The price tag of the build is unknown – but in this video you’ll get an idea:
