For the Gumball 3000 rally in 2016, the Saudi Arabian Team Galag drove an Arkham Knight inspired vehicle with the name “Batmobile 2.0”. The car is based on a Lamborghini Gallardo chassis, has an amazing 5.2 liter V10 engine and a body almost entirely made of carbon fibre.
The name 2.0 was made as a reference to a previous car made for the 2014 Gumball but due to quality issues, the team had to withdraw. For the new version, lead engineer Leif Tufvesson of Caresto with extensive experience from e.g. Koenigsegg was given the task. His mission was to build a new car that would still turn heads but also have improved performance to complete the long drive. You can read all about the impressive build here.
Batmobile on public roads
Even in the crowd of Gumball supercars, the car stands out, but it turns even more heads driving alone on public roads! Check out the video of the Team Galag Batmobile on public roads in Dubai. Filmed by Private Motor Club.
