There will also be café racers in the future, but what will they look like? In 2017, Honda’s Italian development department made a futuristic example of what we can expect to come. This was one of the most awesome motorcycle creations showcased at the EICMA motorcycle exhibition in Milan. It is called the CB4 Interceptor Concept.
In addition to the design, the bike features a rather futuristic yet simple piece of technology. At the front of the CB4 Interceptor Concept a fan has been installed in the headlight, which uses wind power to generate energy. This energy is used to power a touchscreen unit embedded into the CB4 Interceptor’s gas tank. Honda says the screen can handle GPS navigation, emergency phone calls and other great connectivity features.

For Honda, this was just a design exercise and (unfortunately) it doesn’t necessarily preview any future products or technology. At Old News Club, we have been searching the internet to find out if any other bike builders have continued the Honda concept. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find proof – but K-Speed gave another preview of what a futuristic Honda could look like!
