Living in a Boeing 727 airplane

Former electrical engineer Bruce Campbell has been living in a Boeing 727 in Oregon, near Portland, for more than a decade. Airliners are scrapped every day and Bruce Campbell thought, well if nobody wants them, then why can’t I have one?

His home is now 136ft long and he paid $100,000 for it, and another $120,000 to move it to his property. It serves every need: it has two galleys and three lavatories. The aircraft was designed to withstand far worse conditions than your everyday house, and that fact alone pleased Bruce Campbell’s mindset regarding future survival in a world with environmental changes.
